An Overview of October
Tomorrow is Halloween, the weather is getting cold (if it hasn’t already), and I feel like OneSeason has been a part of my life for years. I want to thank everyone who read my article on Black Tuesday. A lot of comments were encouraging to me and the OneSeason Nation community. Onto my review of October!
I can only speak for as long I’ve been on the site. Fortunately for me, that has been since October 3rd. I can’t really say I truly understood how OneSeason worked until I became a part of the nation. A good deal of us have seen what the skeptics have had to say. OneSeason Nation was founded by people who were skeptical, but smart and willing.
We’ve now been through two crashes, in less than a month’s span (which is ridiculous), that literally turned our worlds upside down. For a long time everyone has been saying, “This is too good to be true!”. Well, that fairy tale hasn’t necessarily been spoiled, but it turns out you can’t just sit there and make money THAT easily. If you’re one of those people that aren’t really active, but enjoy refreshing your account every five minutes to watch your account rise (or fall as of lately), you have the wrong approach. I can say that because until Tuesday, I was that guy.
Tuesday, reality set in and we were all reminded that this site is indeed a game. I remember a few posts mentioning that for winners there have to be losers. Well, some people walked away losers Tuesday. However, most people will see the market recover and since their checks will take weeks to sit on hold, some of them may put their chips back in and give OneSeason another chance.
Now that many of the kinks (if you will) have been noted I think November will be a very progressive and productive month for the OneSeason staff. We will definitely see less site crashes. Everyone and their mothers know that if the speed of the site doesn’t improve OneSeason will be asking where their users went. This is their opportunity to shine before a competing site comes out, and I promise you, OneSeason will have competition sooner than we think.
Lucky for us we got in on the site within a month of it’s inception. This month let’s focus more on market strategies. I feel like if we can do a better job predicting the market we will sleep easier at night, and maybe not find it necessary to refresh our pages every five minutes (yeah right).
Before I close I just want to thank everyone at OneSeason Nation. I think I may continue to write articles (weekly) which I will sticky at the top of the General board as long as people are reading them. I will focus my articles on all aspects of OneSeason and OneSeason Nation and anyone with any suggestions feel free to message me or leave a comment on my articles.
I also wanted to add I noticed someone copy and pasted my Black Tuesday article to the boards on OneSeason without giving me credit. I don’t think it was done in malice, and it’s okay. Anyone who wants to use my articles anywhere, be it a different message board, a one season third-party site, all I ask is that you give credit to myself as a OneSeason Nation member.
Thanks to Bullpup for being an incredible site administrator and another thank you to the Nation members, because without you OneSeason would not be as fun.
