Bad Omen for BBEN and the Steelers?
Thursday, January 29th, 2009
A friend of mine passed this on to me tonight. Looks like BBEN’s girlfriend is starting to draw some attention to her self! Meet Missy Peregrym, Ben Roethlisberger’s girlfriend. Here is the article from wagrankings.com. Usually when your girlfriend starts becoming a topic of conversation, that doesn’t work out so well. Who could forget THESE images? This means either one of two things. BBEN’s SOI will TANK when he hits OneSeason, or Pittsburgh will LOSE the Superbowl!

Missy Peregrym is an actress, but she’s best known as Ben Roethlisberger’s hot football girlfriend.
There were rumors that she had broken up with the Steelers quarterback when she didn’t come with him to the Super Bowl parties this year, but those rumors have (so far) been unconfirmed. Anyway, it isn’t often that you hear about a struggling actress leaving a guy who just signed a $102 million contract.
Missy Peregrym has appeared in a whole lot of television shows and movies I’ve never heard of. Any Black Sash fans out there? No? How about Jake 2.0? Still no? Damn.
I’m not being entirely fair to Missy. She has had some guest spots in hits like Smallville and Heroes, and she plays the female lead in CW’s new (and soon to be canceled) Reaper, where she plays the romantic interest of the Devil’s bounty hunter.
Professionally, the best thing that’s happened to Peregrym is not receiving acting credit for her role in Catwoman. Halle Berry would probably pay millions to have that stink bomb wiped off her resume.

Flava of…..T.O.?
Tuesday, January 27th, 2009Wow, congratulations, Terrell. A VH1 reality show. You’re now in the same boat with Bret Michaels, Flavor Flav, and Hulk Hogan. Dream big, my friend.
The news comes on the heels of the announcement that Michael Irvin will also be hosting a reality show that will send one lucky fellow to Cowboys training camp. And all of this is comes after a disappointing football season that many would argue was derailed by too much drama and the draining presence of too many prima donnas. Some might call that irony.
The upside is that if Owens gets cut this off-season, there might be VH1 cameras around to catch it on tape. So I’m looking forward to that.
Myself, I’ve never doubted that Terrell Owens was a nice, compassionate, caring person who had a very sensitive side. I suspect that’s what VH1 will be highlighting here, and hey, it might even be entertaining. I did watch every episode of that one VH1 show that featured Peter Brady, the hot model, Verne Troyer, Chyna, and Da Brat, so I’m in no position to be a TV snob about it.
What I don’t see, though, is how it helps the Cowboys or even Owens himself. It seems to be that the Cowboys are in a place where they need stability, and part of that is either going to come from excising Owens, or Owens proving that he can be a stable and reliable part of the team.
And if he does end up getting cut, he’s going to face the real possibility that no other team will want him, for fear that he’ll upset their apple cart, too. I don’t know how an offseason reality show helps him prove to anyone that he won’t be a distraction.
5 Rules for Tuesday Trading From the Nation’s Forums
Monday, January 26th, 2009Here is your morning cup of Joe. Abide by these rules at all costs. The sky is falling. Sell all your GRTZY. To me. Enjoy this post taken from the Nation’s forums today, courtesy of OSN Director of Keepin’ it Real, The Brett. Enjoy.
Good Morning Nationeers.
I am going to introduce 5 Rules for Tuesday
Please adhere to these rules at all cost.
I will give a healthy dose of Positive Rep Love all over the face of the first National to catch each offender.
Happy hunting.
1) No Bitch Assness.
This is actually a well known P. Diddy rule.
Basically stop acting like anyone else should give a shit about your Sportfolio and do something about it.
Make a decision and nut up.

2) Who IS Best Buy?
If you are going to tell us who is the best buy, make sure you include how many shares of said player you own.
For example please don’t rave about BABE at $8.25 a share being a great deal if they are your shares for sale at $8.25.
Trying to scam the other members of the Nation is a Randy move and very rarely works.
The most important part of this rule is please don’t try to convince me PORT is a good buy at $8.25 when no one else on Earth wants him.

3) Don’t tell us about the IPO formula
Don’t tell us your conspiracy theory on the IPO monkey.
Bobo the IPO dropping orangutan will drop whoever he wants whenever he wants,
then he will beat off and throw his poo at you.
Deal with it.
I say we dip that bastard in formaldehyde for a few days, but
I DON’T KNOW SHIT ABOUT THE MARKET SO I WILL SHUT UP.

4) Don’t explain the market to me
Don’t tell us your fail proof solution to everything that is wrong with the market.
A free market is as complex interesting and unpredictable as each individual participating in it’s whim on a second by second basis.
You don’t know shit, stop proving it.

5) Avoid the Kool-Aid
Don’t claim BBEN is going to have a MC of 20k and his very presence on OS will unlock the money rainbow into everyone’s account.
Everyone knows the only true market savior is Yinka Dare,
BBEN will be a 10-12k turd just like all the other turds coming out after him (minus BIRD)

Larry Fitzgerald Hits OneSeason-Folks Raise Questions
Sunday, January 25th, 2009Larry Fitzgerald hit the OneSeason pipeline today, right in time for a good week of trading before he plays in the Superbowl next Sunday. Folks in the forums are seriously questioning the validity of this IPO issue. Was it forced because of the Superbowl coming? How about the timing on these IPOs. Is OneSeason trying to catch people off guard? Folks are pointing to an IPO coming out right after Barack Obama was announced as winning the election. Folks are pointing to an IPO coming out 20 minutes before OneSeason Brass was interviewed on OSTrader Radio. And tonight, and IPO was announced 30 minutes into the start of the first ever OSN/OST Invitational Poker Tournament. Is OneSeason trying to trick the Nation? Are they trying to surprise people? Is it all a coincidence? I’m thinking coincedence. You guys can put your tinfoil hats away.
And IPO coming out with the little volume, little growth, and little new user sign up just proves that we know absolutely nothing about the fabled “algorithm”. Tomorrow should be very interesting when FITZ is released. Noone has any money to spend! Many people are close to fully invested in the market, and had little to no money to request FITZ IPO shares. Many are also predicting a mini crash coming, due to the fact that people are heavily invested in SOIs right now, and there isn’t a lot of free cash out there. I’m not sure what will happen, I believe that people have been hoarding shares for weeks now, and at this stage in the game, I don’t believe it will be as easy to get people to panic sell, as in the past. People are perfectly fine with just holding their shares, and letting there be little to no volume. This week should be very interesting. How dirty is FITZ gonna get “did” tomorrow, based on we just saw happen to a living legend in Wayne Gretzky? Will BBEN come out right after FITZ is released? Before FITZ is released when there REALLY is no money out because everyone has it tied up in FITZ? Will the market crash? Will we see more articles and some sort of marketing campaign begin? Well Nation, the only thing we can say for sure is noone has any idea at all what will happen. Remember the two rules of successful trading. Don’t be scared. Don’t be greedy. Have a great week!

Wayne Gretzky IPO Winners Completely Trash “The Great One”
Friday, January 23rd, 2009Today was a sad day for myself and many OSN Members who are hardcore sports fans. Today, a living legend. The Michael Jordan of Hockey, The Great One, Wayne Gretzky was released. He sold for $30.00 out the gate, putting him right around $50,000 which is where we predicted (and think he should be) But then OneSeason undercutters did him dirty. If you’ve seen the South Park episode pictured above, it was the exact same thing. If you haven’t, you must see it to get an understanding of what was done to the greatest player Hockey has ever known. What George Lucas and Steven Spielberg did to Indiana Jones, was the same thing many IPO share holders did to a living legend in Wayne Gretzky.
Gretzky ended up closing in the $17.00 range, which as far as value goes, puts him between Tom Brady and CC Sabathia and $40,000 less than Yao Ming. If you are looking for an SOI to hang your hat on long term (years not days), then this is your SOI. His market value right now is an outrage. OneSeason says that they plan on expanding into Canada as soon as possible. When this happens, and as OneSeason continues to grow, Wayne will only get more valuable. He is done. No argument he is the greatest of all time, and he can do nothing to tarnish this legacy. You will only get one chance.
TSTL’s January Performance Contest - LaDainian Tomlinson
Friday, January 23rd, 2009Congratulations to Quizrox for being our first contest winner. Quixrox won the special holiday Brian Westbrook contest and will receive $10 in merchandise from the TSTL store.
Now on to the first full month contest. This month we will have 3 prizes ($25, $10, $5) so that is 3 chances to win. LaDainian Tomlinson has been chosen the TSTL’s hero the month for January 2009. Tomlinson had a great last 4 weeks of the season helping the San Diego Chargers win their last 4 games and overcoming a 4 game deficit to the Denver Broncos to squeak into the playoffs.
During the last 4 weeks of the season Tomlinson rushed for 316 yards and 5 TD’s, including a 3 TD performance in the season finale and playoff clinching win over Denver 52-21. Tomlinson helped the Chargers charge to the playoffs, will having him in your sportfolio in January help you charge to one of the 3 January prizes?
HERE IS YOUR TSTL HERO OF THE MONTH! GET YOUR SHARES OWNED POSTED ALONG WITH A MATCHING SELL ORDER FOR AN ABNORMALLY HIGH DOLLAR AMOUNT SO THE SPONSOR CAN VERIFY!
REMEMBER, You can always increase your entries into the drawing if you get more than your first submission during the month. A confirmed sell order with a higher amount of shares than the one you have confirmed will override your first submission.

Thanks for the Memories, ‘Zo
Thursday, January 22nd, 2009Alonzo Mourning retired today, ending the career of one of the most fiery, and passionate big men in the history of the game. he 38-year-old center, part of the Heat’s 2006 championship-winning team, had not played since injuring his knee in December 2007 and maintained close links with Miami despite being a free agent.
“I spent the past year rehabbing and thinking about my basketball future,” Mourning told a news conference. “After 16 years I truly feel its best I retire.
‘At 38 I feel like I’ve physically done all I can for this game. God knows it’s been an amazing ride.”
Mourning, widely respected for his extensive charity and community work, was forced out of the game in 2003 when he had to undergo a kidney transplant.
However, he surprised and encouraged many when he made a comeback.
I grew up watching this guy, from his days dominating the paint at Georgetown to his rookie years at Charlotte with Grandmama Larry Johnson. Some of you might not remember, but did you know that Alonzo Mourning was the number 2 overall pick in the 1992 NBA draft? Who was number 1?
Shaquille O’Neal.
Not a bad 1-2 punch there. Today the NBA lost an all time great. Take care ‘Zo, you’ll be missed on the court, but you’ve been dominating in your off the court humanitarian work, and that work is just beginning!
Wayne Gretzky Hits the IPO Pipeline
Thursday, January 22nd, 2009Wayne Gretzky debuted in the IPO Pipeline of OneSeason today at approximately 10:40AM PST. This will be a great SOI on OneSeason, and The OneSeason Nation is estimating a short term $50,000 market cap, and long term the most valuable Hockey SOI traded! Good Luck everyone! The forums are on FIRE, talking about this!
OneSeasonNation and Trader Announce the First Ever OSN/OST Invitational Tournament!

This is going to be awesome. A private tournament for just us OneSeason addicts. The tourney will be held on Sunday, January 25th, at 8 PM CST (9 EST). I know this might be late for you east coasters. But we’ll work with you on the next one and maybe make it earlier. We do plan on making this a weekly/bi-weekly game.
So the game will be a $10+$1 game at Aced. PLEASE sign up for Aced Poker using this link or the links out at OneSeasonPoker.com! If you have OneSeason friends that need to sign up for the tourney - DIRECT THEM TO OneSeasonPoker.com!!! Using these links will ensure you get any bonuses promised to you.
We will also have bounties on Knup and Bullpup’s head. Bullpup (myself) runs things around here at OneSeasonNation.com while Knup runs the chat over at OneSeasonTrader.com - if you knock Knup out of the tourney - you will be sent a OST Tshirt. If you know Bullpup out of the tourney - you will be sent an OSN Tshirt. If you knock Sdogg out of the tournament, He’ll send you his Derrick Rose underpants.
