A New User’s Perspective-Insight to Volume

One Newbie's Perspective

One Newbie's Perspective

We have a OneSeason user who just joined last Tuesday. This gives him about 3 and a half days on the market. This guy is as green as Kermit the Frog. A lot of people are screaming “MOAR VOLUME, MOAR VOLUME!” and whipping themselves into a frenzy about it. After reading the below comments from a new user, it has become clear to me where we are. Deposits into the system and volume are directly proportional to the rate of market growth. We kind of knew this before, but it wasn’t ever confirmed, or spelled out clearly. Remember when you found OneSeason? Did you drop $2500 right away? Did you deposit $100 here, $100 there, and then in the massive upswing, maybe THEN drop your $1000 in? Read these comments from this new user. Thanks Wildes. Your input is extremely valuable.

Well I have only deposited a real small amount. As a small business owner(Domino’s Pizza) in this economy I don’t have much cash laying around. I was lucky enough to get 1 IPO share of Durant that I sold for a little over $9. Late yesterday I bought 1 Durant for $14 and then sold him for $16 pretty late in the evening. I have 1 share of Gretsky 1 CC and 2 King. The Kings are the only thing I’ve taken a loss on, but I hope to sit on those for awhile hoping this site continues to grow. I have enough free cash to request 3 Duncan, I did this on Durant and only got one, but I want to be able to get at least request 3. The Nation is awesome and both of the profits I made on Durant were a direct result of reading and staying up with the forums. I’ll definitely be contributing to the cause when I can.

~Wildes12

So, i just ask that you read this, and think about it heavily. What if this is the majority of new users? OneSeason is here for the long term, and low, low, small incremental growth, and 100,000 more users in the next couple years, with experiences like our friend Wildes12 had, and we’ll be right where we want to be. Huge spikes in sign up, huge spikes in volume, aren’t good for OneSeason. All of us sitting around will just cash out faster than you can blink. Then what? The market goes back to 300k? 200k? Small growth. This market is progressing exactly as it needs to. Low volume. Incremental gains. Incremental losses. Then a little more more incremental gains. Think years. Not Weeks or Month. You’ll be fine.

The Band is Getting Back Together!

Friday, February 13th, 2009

Reunited and it Feels So Good!

Reunited and it Feels So Good!

Shaq, Kobe, and Phil Jackson are getting back together. We thought we’d never see it. But it’s official! The Band is getting back together. No, Kobe hasn’t been traded to Phoenix. Shaquille O’Neal found the fountain of youth this year, and has been playing out of his mind. He was rewarded with another trip to the All-Star game as a member of the All-Stars WEST. Kobe plays on that team every year, and Oh, Phil Jackson will coach that team this year. The band is getting back together on Sunday, and Laker fans will love it, and be sentimental for sure. I will watch. But I won’t get sentimental until it’s Official that Griffey signs with Seattle.

James had a another unbelievable month in January. He racked up 3 triple-doubles in 14 games and was really close to a couple others. After it was all said and done he nearly had a triple-double average for the month.

27.5 pts. 9.6 reb. 8.2 ast. 2.1 stl. 1.5 blk.

Honorable mention for the month of January - Chris Paul; without James’ beast-like numbers, Paul would have been the man of the month. Maybe next month, Chris.

Go here for rules.

HERE IS YOUR TSTL HERO OF THE MONTH! GET YOUR SHARES OWNED POSTED ALONG WITH A MATCHING SELL ORDER FOR AN ABNORMALLY HIGH DOLLAR AMOUNT SO THE SPONSOR CAN VERIFY!

REMEMBER, You can always increase your entries into the drawing if you get more than your first submission during the month. A confirmed sell order with a higher amount of shares than the one you have confirmed will override your first submission.

Good Luck and Have fun!

The Death Of The IPO Lottery And The Re-Birth Of OneSeason

    Wednesday, February 11th, 2009

    Phoenix Rising From the Ashes

    Phoenix Rising From the Ashes

Here is an article on today’s happenings from OSN analyst Joey Mitchell.

Early this afternoon, Donny Douchebag, the IPO Sniper received a collective kick in the groin from the OneSeason powers to be.  How?  Kevin Durant’s max allocation per user was a whopping FOUR IPO shares; or .4% ownership.  OneSeasonNation has been able to confirm from OneSeason directly that it is now “safe to expect for the max allocation of IPOs to be in this lower ballpark” justifying the decision by adding that OneSeason “definitely wants the system and site to appeal to a more broad audience of sports fans including more casual users”.  The steady vibration you feel as you read this is the applause from dedicated and ecstatic OneSeason traders.  Let me grab my soap box and tie the death of the IPO lottery into a couple topics.

    Pay Alerts

So long and goodnight.  With confirmation from OS directly that the lower allocation is the rule rather than the exception, a trader can now be confident in his time stamp that is ten minutes after initial announcement rather than sweating out a timestamp two minutes out.  When the information is readily available within minutes among a number of OS dedicated sites, the demand for a pay alert system is obviously going to shrivel up.  And Lord knows we all know what happens to commodities with shrinking demand…

    Advanced/Tenured Traders

So what does this announcement mean for the grizzled vets?  It gives them their mojo back…that’s what.  The trader who does his homework, holds strong, buys red and sells green, and so on now has a distinct competitive advantage.  Some goof with a bag of Cheetos and a pay alert can’t instantly triple the bankroll of a decorated day trader by hitting the IPO lottery anymore.  Do your homework and you will be rewarded.  It’s as simple as that.

    New Casual Users

Welcome to a level playing field Average Joe OneSeason user.  The death of the IPO lottery means any new member can focus his/her time on learning about the trading engine that IS OneSeason rather than wasting time searching for what pay alert to subscribe to or what page loads the new IPO announcement the quickest.  The new user can also focus the vast majority of his/her financial resources on the market, rather than letting it sit in a pile on the sidelines for BIRD.  That’s good news for everyone involved.

There you have it.  The IPO concept had evolved into a complete perversion of its intended purpose and with this news of diminished allocations we have a re-birth of OneSeason.  Go trade.  Grab some money out of that infamous ‘IPO stack’. Cancel the pay alert subscription and buy your girlfriend a dozen roses as an apology for taking the laptop here there and everywhere.  Do what the site INTENED for us to do and enjoy.

The Tide Has Turned; the Dawn of a New Era for OneSeason by The Brett

    Wednesday, February 11th, 2009
    The tide has turned.
I no longer have to take my laptop to the bathroom with me.
I no longer have to blast Bob’s Tool thru my stereo when spending “quality time” with the GF.
I can drive to and from work at under 80 MPH (I don’t take a highway)
I can leave my desk and do my job
I can own .4% of BIRD with a timestamp 10 minutes after he drops
The Lottery is over, a new day has dawned.
The balance of power has shifted and the casual observer can shake things up now.
The most powerful people in the game are no longer the F5 crack heads, or the nerds like me with every alert tool known to man.
The most powerful people in the game are those of us who have
    done their homework
wisely invested in shares they see developing lasting value
    and most importantly
THE most dangerous people in the game are now the user with $2500 to deposit.
You can’t luck into being a big dog anymore.  You gotta earn it in the streets.
    No more IPO Snipers
    No more paid alerts
No more $200 reserve cash for IPO’s
The money from now on will be made in the market.
The money from now on will come from growth.
There is no more free ride, there is no more lottery tickets.
So invest, get off your ass and invest
you really only need $50 to $100 cash when you think the market is going up
because existing shares have less opportunity cost than they used to.
If you miss an IPO, no big deal!
Turn off your IPO alerts when you have grown up time, watch TV when you feel like it

Take a shyt without your laptop, and enjoy the day.  Because .4% is a beautiful thing.

Favre to Retire, Again. Cry, Again…

    Wednesday, February 11th, 2009

It is being reported today that Brett Favre will retire. Favre had instructed his agent, James “Bus” Cook, to inform the Jets on Wednesday that he is retiring. Two team sources told ESPN senior NFL analyst Chris Mortensen that the call had been made. Check out the full article here.

Kevin Durant Hits the IPO Pipeline; Alert Tools Battle

    Tuesday, February 10th, 2009

Durant Plays For the Seattle Sonics. I don't recognize the debacle in Oklahoma City.

Durant Plays For the Seattle Sonics. I don

Kevin Durant was loaded into OneSeason at approximately 5:30PM today, and the Alert Battle ensued. People are very passionate about their preferred IPO Alert tool. Who’s is fastest? Bob’s Tool? OneSeason Alerts? OneSeason Text? Bob Rafferty from Bob’s Tool has announced that his Tool is 100% free after the Durant IPO. The other two alerts cost money. $10 for normal IPO’s, more for “premium” IPOs on OneSeasonText.com. OneSeason Alerts is $10 per IPO. The competition is sure to heat up after Durants IPO. The forums are ablaze with people backing up their Tool of choice. Who’s will be the fastest? How will the upcoming API feed for IPOs being released by OneSeason affect this situation? Time will tell. This is a situation to watch.

    A-ROID

    Tuesday, February 10th, 2009

I’ll just post this here for you guys to see. I am not going to pile onto this topic as ESPN and every other sports media outlet is beating the living crap out of this. I’ve stated my opinion in the forums. I don’t care if they juice out of their mind. I pay to watch them throw the ball fast, hit the ball hard and far, and hopefully a few major collisions at home plate. Let them juice. Who cares. People are always looking and using things to get an edge up on the competition. The facts are…if you played baseball in the early 2000’s and you WEREN’T using steroids or PED’s, then you were putting yourself at a disadvantage because a majority of the big names were. And who cares?

Huge Game Today, Cleveland LeBrons vs the LA Kobes

Start your Franchise-Take LeBron, Need a Game Winner at the Buzzer to Save your Life, Take Kobe

Start your Franchise-Take LeBron, Need a Game Winner at the Buzzer to Save your Life, Take Kobe

The final regular season meeting between the Cavaliers and the Lakers happens today. The Cavaliers are undefeated at home this year. The Lakers beat the Cavs 105-88 on January 19th of this year. I lost my bet on the Zags yesterday to the Brett. I’m going double or nothing with him in this game. I take the Lake Show, He takes the Bron Brons. What do you think? Do I break even on the bets? Or do I lose 2 straight? This will be a great game, and you can’t possibly get a better game than this. These are the number 1a and 1b basketball players in the world. They are 1 and 2 on OneSeason as well. 110k for Bron Bron vs, 97k for Kobe. I dare to say Kobe would be 110k also, maybe higher, had he chose to not order room service in Denver that night. Consider yourself lucky to witness a matchup like this. See you tonight for some poker!
