Meet Cheyenne Woods-Tiger’s 18 Year Old Niece

Thursday, June 25th, 2009

You are about to be bombarded with stories, images, and media coverage of this buxom beauty. She is an 18 year old golf goddess who’s cup size is equally as big as her game. She is currently going to Wake Forest, and wil be playing in LPGA events. Uncle Tiger went to Stanford. Remember where yous saw her first. We’ll get her entered into the new OSN babes contest that is starting up in the forums.

She’s baaaaaaaaack

Saturday, June 20th, 2009

Many people have been asking me recently, what should I do now that OneSeason has slowed to a hault? This question has really left me stumped for a while, but with Transformers Two set to hit theaters by the end of the month everyone’s favorite crooked finger slut has been making her rounds and showing off the goods.

How can you not just bow down to this goddess amoung mortals? Unofficially, the OSN Babe Mascott. Is there any way we can buy her SOI? While you sit around waiting for your $15 IPO’s or trying to make a quarter buying and selling shares of Pujols, just google image search Megan Fox and you will easily make it through the rest of your day. If you are starting to get distracted take off the safe search, you won’t be disappointed.

This kid even dug up to courage to try and woo her, something I cannot say I would have had enough balls to do myself. Granted, he got shut down quicker than DMAC trying to run against the Raven’s defense but still, give the kid props for putting his best foot forward.

So as Saturday night winds down and trading opens back up in nine short hours, don’t jump over the edge, let Megan help you make it through the boring down days.

Tragedy in the sports world!

Wednesday, May 27th, 2009

I am sad to bring this up, but the underaged female tennis star that we have all come to love is getting her biggest assets reduced according to SPORTSbyBROOKS.com. They provided a quote from my once favorite female athlete and she clearly needs to reorganize her priorities in life. “Inconvenience me, it’s very hard with them. It’s a weight in addition to confound me speed response. I can not go on very well.”

Tennis isn’t going to get this girl anywhere in life, but those things on her chest could have carried her at least through her late 20’s. Here’s to what could have been.

My vote for the next IPO

Thursday, April 30th, 2009

Introducing 17 year old tennis superstar Simona Halep. This should be the direction womens sports is taking, screw talent, I could care less what sports skills your bring to the field/court. When you are packing like this chick, you are destined for fame.

P.S. Take note she is from Romania, why are there no chicks like this in the U.S.?

OSN babe of the day

Saturday, April 11th, 2009

In honor of the Masters this weekend I present to you one of the only reasons womens golf should continue to exist, Natalie Gulbis. Think about it, this chick plays with long shafts and balls on a daily basis and gets paid for it, sounds like fun, right? As weird as it sounds I would let her hit my balls any day, she is that hot.

MythBusters - Lowering Your Cost Per Share

Monday, March 30th, 2009

Welcome to the first, and probably only, special MythBusters OneSeasonNation edition.  Tonight, I will attempt to debunk the myth of buying into a loser you are holding in an attempt to “lower your cost per share.”

All to often on the Nation forums I hear people talking about their investments in an, economically speaking, backwards thought process. members are displaying what I feel is a widespread fundamentally flawed strategy of trading on oneseason.  Rylin34 made a post today and scratched the surface of my point, but even he doesn’t go far enough in my opinion.

Rylin34:  “It has been said time and time again, but the only reason you sell at a loss is because there is a better opportunity to regain money or you think prices are going lower (rebuy once you think the prices have bottomed).  Selling for a loss permanently locks in that loss and that money is gone forever, unless either option is available in my point above. Losers buy high and sell low.  Patience is the key right now.”

Maybe it has been said time and time again, but I feel people continue to ignore it and refer to lowering their cost per share as if it is the best strategy, when 9 times out of 10, its not.  Just look at what Rylin said… “the only reason you sell at a loss is because there is a better opportunity to regain money or you think prices are going lower (rebuy once you think the prices have bottomed).”… So essentially, the “only reason” to sell at a loss is when any other investment would be a better one.  Or in other words, you should be buying the best possible investment, regardless of what you currently own.  DUH!

As simple and obvious as that sounds, the very idea of buying in order to lower your cost per share goes against this and yet I see people saying that is exactly what they are doing all the time.  Color me confused.

Let me introduce you to a couple terms… first, sunk cost: In economics and business decision-making, a sunk cost is a cost that can not be recovered once it has been incurred.  Next, variable cost: costs that will change depending on a proposed course of action.

In microeconomic theory, only variable costs are relevant to making a decision

What does this all mean for OS… When you spend 10 dollars on an SOI, it is gone, the only value you ever have after that is the current price at which you could sell your shares.  That 10 dollars is a sunk cost… Too often people get emotionally attached to their sportfolios, refusing to sell while in the red (saying things like, I’ll sell as soon as I break even on my investment), when in truth, what you spent on the SOI should have no barring on what you do in the future.

What you should be looking at is your variable costs.  2 days later that 10 dollar SOI you bought is worth 5 dollars (and for arguments sake, say there is a sell order out there for 5 dollars), so what do you really have?  You have 5 dollars in value, plain and simple… You do not have 10 dollars, you threw that away days ago with a bad investment, so rather than be stubborn (I see the word “patient” often incorrectly used in its place) about it and refuse to sell until your positive, why not make the best of a bad situation?  Right at that moment you should be weighing all the possible places you could invest that 5 dollars…

If you believe the market is going to go down and there is not a safe bet to make money, then you should sell your share and wait.  Why watch your remaining 5 dollars dwindle down to 2.50 before going back up, when you could sell now and buy back later… If you believe ANY OTHER investment is a better one at that moment, then selling your current SOI and buying the better one should be your next course of action.  From an emotional standpoint it may be hard to sell in the red, but if you can make more money on another player, you are only hurting yourself and compounding a mistake by holding… If you believe your current SOI is the best investment in the market, then you should continue to invest in that SOI.  But keep in mind why you are doing it, not because you want to make that money back, but rather because you actually feel it is the best investment.

Everyone’s opinion on what is the best investment differs (it is what makes the market great), so while others may not agree with you, at least you are using sound business decision making… It’s when people blindly disregard logic and continue to buy more of a losing stock so that they can lower their price per share that they get in trouble.  Is it really doing you any good to spend 100 bucks to lower your price per share on an SOI closer to its actual price, when you could have spent that money on a different SOI?  Unless you truly believe the first one is the best investment on the market, its not… It may seem like you are making progress, because your price per share has dropped to 6 dollars instead of 10, but you are chasing a meaningless figure.  All that matters is how much you think you can make with the money you currently have.  If I project Arod, whom I own at a loss, to gain 10% the next month while I project Pujols, who I don’t own, to gain 15% in the next month, you tell me who i should spend that 100 dollars on.  It seems silly to buy Arod to lower my price per share, when i could own Pujols and make more money.  “Selling at a loss” to pickup Pujols is not a stupid thing because that term is deceiving.  You have already incurred the loss, it is sunk, there is nothing you can do about it.  By not making the economically sound decision going forward, that is the stupid thing to do…

I’ll leave you with this… lowering your price per share should not be a motive for buying more SOI’s (which by reading many of our post, seems like it is), it should only be the result of making the correct business decision.  I hope that going forward people will start to understand the faulty logic behind these common practices…

I welcome your comments and discussion on this topic! ~Bill2451

OSN Babe of the day

Thursday, March 26th, 2009

Jenna Fisher - one of the many stars of the HILARIOUS show The Office which I recommend everyone watch tonight at 9pm on NBC.

Kate, from “Lost” in Phone Sex Ad

Saturday, March 21st, 2009

If you told me I could call this number and talk to Evangeline Lilly you can bet your ass I would be first in line. This girl is right up my alley and anyone who has seen Lost definitely agrees with me. How they got this babe to do a commercial for their whacked out hot line is beyond me but all I can picture is her tied up in some dudes basement and him having his way with her.

If you have any videos you think deserve to be put on the OSN front page email them to me, penny@oneseasonnation.com with OSN Video’s as the subject line.

Cure for your OneSeason Boredom - The Next Big Thing

Friday, March 20th, 2009

Are you tired of sitting around every day waiting for the next big thing?  Every day you sit at your computer and stare at the website thinking, “when is this thing going to blow up.”  We remember how much fun OneSeason can be, then we remember how quickly that fun can turn into boredom and a stagnant market.

If you’re one of those people I just described above, one of those people hoping that these mythical third party games will bring the fun back to OS, stop dreaming!  Instead of waiting around for that next big thing, why not create it.  If the possibilities of OneSeason are truly limitless, why not get creating.  Use that imagination to come up with something that will “change the game forever”.

With that thought in mind, I have taken it upon myself to come up with a few ideas that I think could really take off.  Ideas that could take OneSeason to the next level.  If you think Oneseasonnation and Oneseasontrader were good ideas, just wait, its only the beginning.

Oneseasonfights.com

Screw the Rep system!  The OneSeason community is filled with rivalries.  What better way to settle those differences than with a good old fashion brawl.  Who wouldn’t pay to watch BP and TheBrett battle it out against Knup and JC in a tag team match for the title of Best OS Community (forget the fact that many of us participate in both, this is a fight damn it!).  Or how about Ponzi vs StockPlayer in a “Pyramid Match” (you know, first one to climb to the top of the pyramid in the middle of the ring and grab the fake check wins, but watch out, because you never know when your opponent will rip the bottom of the pyramid out from under you and the whole thing will come crashing down).

Oneseasonmatch.com

Are you tired of looking for love in all the wrong places.  At oneseasonmatch.com we will match you based on 29 proven dimensions of compatibility.  Our complicated process involves analyzing both your trading and posting habits in determining who you’re most compatible with.  Do you like investing for the long term, or are you the day trading type?  Football or Baseball?  Shaq or Kobe?  Do you make 20 useless posts a day, or 2 well thought out ones?  No matter what you’re type, we’ll find a soul mate for you.  (Note: We have already successfully matched RandyRatio with a big black dildo and a can of axe, and he’s said he couldn’t be happier)

Oneseasonporno.com

This is something I have been pushing for a long time now.  If you think about it, it is really the only logical place to go for the OneSeason empire.  We have sports, we have gambling (oneseasonpoker), whats the next logical step?  Sex of course!  Afterall, what more does any guy need.  Sure there are some kinks that need to be worked out (the last thing i want to see is Sdog in silk boxers), but I think this things got potential.  Just think of it as an x rated version of SI’s swimsuit edition.  Just imagine the day when OS is big enough that ESPN keeps an OS ticker on tv… when that day comes OSPorno will be big enough to get athletes wives involved.  I don’t see how it could go wrong!

Oneseasonbuzzed.com

I have a dream, and this is it… If oneseasonporno is the next logical step the OS evolution, then surely OSBuzzed can’t be far behind.  Sports, gambling, sex, and beer. Oh what a world we would live in… Come to oneseasonbuzzed.com not only for our drinks (I call it the Berry Bonds… you take 2 parts Berry Kool-Aid, 2 parts Mountain Dew, and 1 part Grain Alcohol, then put it all in a syringe and inject it right into the bloodstream… that shit’ll knock you out), but also for our safe trading.  No longer do you have to fear getting loaded and then coming home and buying 5 shares for 100 bucks instead of 100 for 5 bucks.  Using our highly complicated trade analyzer, we are able to sort through all the wrong numbers/completely nonsensical characters, to figure out exactly what you wanted.  And if for some reason the computer is still unable to figure out your order, or the end result is too far from the players current price, your order will be put on hold for 12 hours until you’re sober enough to confirm it.  But thats not all, oneseasonbuzzed support also extends to the forums where you will no longer have to fear looking like an idiot when drunk/high.  Trained experts will be working around the clock to decipher all the typos, ramblings, and everything else that comes with being 20 beers deep and trying to operate a computer.

So there you have it.  If you want the excitement of OS to continue for the long term, you must always get bigger, better, and crazier.  This is (without a doubt) the future of OS, and I for one can’t wait…

It is now in your hands nation, I have showed you the next big thing… but where will you push OS after that?  What are your “big ideas”

Megan Fox Loves the Nation!

Thursday, March 19th, 2009

Well, maybe not, but the Nation sure does love her. Megan is definitely one of the most talked about babes on the OSN forums yet she has never made an appearance in the OSN babes section of the website, today this changes. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Fox. You have done great work.

If you want your favorite babe featured in the OSN Babes section, email me a pic to penny@oneseasonnation.com

DPED Announced

Monday, March 16th, 2009

Dustin Pedroia was officially announced to the OneSeason world today while I was in the middle of another round of my life long battle with the copier/scanner. Unfortunately, today it got the best of me as I missed out on the DPED IPO and my copies came out terrible. To put me in a better mood and to avoid having three pictures of Pedroia on the front page, I give you his wife Kelli, who couldn’t be happier about today’s IPO.

Cole Hamels IPO’d (Wife Included)

Friday, February 27th, 2009

Cole Hamels is kind of a Douche. He looks like he would be one of the guys on the TV Show “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” So we decided to put up a picture of his wife instead. He hit the OneSeason at approximately 5:30pm PST, and will open for trading at some point on Sunday. The Bullpup is predicting a 6-7k MC for HMLS. Good Luck! Don’t forget the caption contest ends tomorrow!

Danic(a) Attack!

Wednesday, February 18th, 2009
Vroom? Vroom?

Vroom? Vroom?

She’s baaaaaaack. Just when you thought it was safe to move on and forget about her, Danica Patrick comes strutting her way back into our lives with her photoshoot for the latest issue of Sports Illustrated’s swimsuit issue. Any photos you may have seen of her in the past are quickly forgotten with the photospread she shot for SI. Here is a sampling of the photos. Stay tuned for more. The Nation would very much like a Danica Patrick SOI.

Bad Omen for BBEN and the Steelers?

Thursday, January 29th, 2009

A friend of mine passed this on to me tonight. Looks like BBEN’s girlfriend is starting to draw some attention to her self! Meet Missy Peregrym, Ben Roethlisberger’s girlfriend. Here is the article from wagrankings.com. Usually when your girlfriend starts becoming a topic of conversation, that doesn’t work out so well. Who could forget THESE images? This means either one of two things. BBEN’s SOI will TANK when he hits OneSeason, or Pittsburgh will LOSE the Superbowl!

Missy Peregrym is an actress, but she’s best known as Ben Roethlisberger’s hot football girlfriend.

There were rumors that she had broken up with the Steelers quarterback when she didn’t come with him to the Super Bowl parties this year, but those rumors have (so far) been unconfirmed. Anyway, it isn’t often that you hear about a struggling actress leaving a guy who just signed a $102 million contract.

Missy Peregrym has appeared in a whole lot of television shows and movies I’ve never heard of. Any Black Sash fans out there? No? How about Jake 2.0? Still no? Damn.

I’m not being entirely fair to Missy. She has had some guest spots in hits like Smallville and Heroes, and she plays the female lead in CW’s new (and soon to be canceled) Reaper, where she plays the romantic interest of the Devil’s bounty hunter.

Professionally, the best thing that’s happened to Peregrym is not receiving acting credit for her role in Catwoman. Halle Berry would probably pay millions to have that stink bomb wiped off her resume.

The Nation’s First Daily Market Thread Reaches 100 pages!

Wednesday, January 14th, 2009

FRESH off her MAXIM magazine “Hometown Hottie” photoshoot, it’s our official Nation Mascot. Stopping by to reward the folks in the forums for their 100 page Daily market thread today. That’s over 1000 posts just on today’s market alone! The over/under in the forums today was set at I believe 62 pages. No Babe Ruth today. But don’t fret, he’s coming. The IPO system is based on a complex algorithm that we will never understand because of many unreleased variables. It looks like the algorithm was dead on today, though. The market ended up down 8.71% on 16,636 shares traded. Tomorrow will be another fun day of trading. You never know what will happen. Remember the Golden Rules, Nation. Don’t be scared. Ever. And don’t be greedy. Not following those rules is the top two ways to LOSE money.
