Welcome to all the new users, and new OSN fans! Here at OSN we have strived to bring you a ton of stuff you can do around OneSeason, all without costing you a dime. There are some sites out there that are INCREDIBLY complex and have taken thousands of man hours to produce, such as OneSeasonPro. Once you use the tool, and see it’s benefits, it’s easy to understand why it is a pay service. But on the other hand, the most important tool you can have in OneSeason is an Instant IPO alert that texts you when an IPO is announced on OneSeason, and the good news for you is that you have access to this tool 100% free. We’ve shown people the developers who are making you FREE IPO Alerts via Text Message (www.playermonitor.com, www.oneseasonpulse.com) and heck, our members even know how to make their own IPO alerts which is exactly just as fast as the other IPO alerts, but 100% free. (You can make it yourself and set it up to text you! Here is the step by step process in how to make your own 100% free IPO alert that texts you. Special thanks again to OSN software developer Chivalri for teaching us how to do this. Great job Chivalri! The most important tool you can possibly have on OneSeason, an IPO alert tool that texts you, you can make easily yourself! Free!
It is not right that the best young player in Major League Baseball is 10th on the request list. Ichiro and B.J. Upton are the two active baseball players that are scheduled to IPO before him and neither of them deserve to be, at least not until Japan can trade. HRAM is only 25 years old and is not going away anytime soon. He has proven that he can do it in the major leagues and he is the first pick in almost all fantasy drafts. Baseball is in right now as shown by recent volume figures and the success of DWRT and LNCM this past week.
Also, please remove all basketball players from your list. No one cares anymore. The season is almost over and there are plenty of good ballers out there. All future IPO’s should be either baseball or football, NOT basketball.
In another surprise move, Johan Santana was put into the IPO Pipeline right around 6pm eastern time. This is the third IPO in a row to be announced without an off day and yet again it was right in the middle of east coast rush hour! Today was also the first day that OneSeason had implemented the “Are you fan enough?” feature. When announced, this feature brought mixed reviews, but ultimately the Nation endorsed it. Unfortunately, the first test of the new way of requesting IPO’s went horribly wrong. Everyone got the alerts and rushed to their computers only to realize that it was impossible to request! Error messages popped up everywhere, for some the question didn’t appear, and for others the site just sat idle in the loading stage. To add to the frustration, OneSeasonPro.com users were able to request IPO shares through their site within the first five minutes before the glitch was fixed. All in all, it was not a good debut for the new Captcha.
My response? Who gives a shit? People were flipping out unnecessarily. I mean, are we really all that desperate for $20 bucks? I think we can manage missing an IPO here and there. This has been said over and over on the forums and in the chat but I will reiterate it here using BullPup’s favorite expression. OneSeason is right in the middle of building a house. They currently only have the frame and floors up and we are walking around making sure it doesn’t fall down and no one falls through the floor. Well today, there was a crack right down the middle of the kitchen. This is exactly why there is no aggressive ad campaign, they are not ready yet. Imagine how bad it would look if OneSeason was aggressively trying to attract new users and shit like this went down. If you can’t picture it, the results would be disastrous.
I know people hate to hear it, but patience is a virtue. We should all be super pumped that Mike and the boys are rolling this thing along slowly. If they wanted to make a quick buck and bail they could have easily dropped a couple million into advertising and this thing would have skyrocketed, but it wouldn’t have lasted. By adding new features, and testing them out with us, we are giving them invaluable feedback that ultimately will be beneficial in the long run. So for now, if you missed out on the STNA IPO, don’t worry about it. If you really want him just buy a couple shares. If things go as planned, it will all be worth it someday.
Matt Ryan was released to the hounds tonight after a long day of waiting around. Ryan has settled into the bottom four of all football IPOs and is the lowest valued of all quarterbacks. Just behind Jay Cutler. QB’s are usually the highest valued of the football SOI’s and Matty Ice is coming into only his second pro season. In his rookie year he lead the Falcons to the playoffs. He is a born leader, has all the skills, and will only get better as he continues to mature. Matty is only the fourth “post hoo” football SOI and could have a lot of potential going into the upcoming football season. OS users tend to like the sexy young stars and RYAN is definitely in that category. I see him staying in the bottom of the football pool for a while but once football fever strikes and fantasy football comes around he could see some considerable gains.
Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte is going the next IPO to hit the pipe line unless Matty Ryan can make a quick fourth quarter comeback. Seeing as we are out of season and running backs generally don’t do as well I do not have high hopes for this IPO. We have a few OSN members who are going to load up from the beginning, but once they run out of cash I see Forte falling quickly. This could be a great time to get in on him. He is the focal point of the Bears offense and had a great rookie season. Chicago has some pretty die hard fans and as OneSeason continues to grow and football season gets closer Forte could definitely out pace the market.
Dustin Pedroia was officially announced to the OneSeason world today while I was in the middle of another round of my life long battle with the copier/scanner. Unfortunately, today it got the best of me as I missed out on the DPED IPO and my copies came out terrible. To put me in a better mood and to avoid having three pictures of Pedroia on the front page, I give you his wife Kelli, who couldn’t be happier about today’s IPO.
Dustin Pedroia is the next IPO to be released into the market. Many of the last few IPO’s have been baseball IPO’s and just in time for baseball season. Over the first few months of OneSeason’s existance it is clear that baseball had taken a backseat to Basketball and Football in terms of market value, but with these new baseball IPO’s and with the season about to start it should spark more interest in baseball SOI’s.
In comparison to the last few baseball IPO’s, Dustin’s IPO should have a bit more interest. Pedroia is on one of the biggest markets in all of sports, he is a world series winner, and is one of the major young and up and coming all-stars. So put your seatbelt on and prepare yourself for the next IPO to be announced!
Magic Johnson is the next SOI set to hit OneSeason. When he hits is anyone’s guess, it could be today. It could be a week from today. Who knows? If you don’t have an IPO Alert, be sure to get over to PlayerMonitor.com for your free, instant, IPO Alert text messages. Good Luck! The OneSeason Nation is setting the Vegas Over/Under number at $13,000 MC. What do you think it will be the night he closes his first trading day? Over or Under $13,000?
