Portis Hits the Market and is Met With a Flurrey of Undercutting
Thursday, December 18th, 2008Clinton Portis was released into the market today, and immediately folks scrambled to clear him out of their IPO sportfolio. We have different opinions as to why this happened, but the most logical reason is that folks no longer see the value of letting an IPO sit in your IPO bucket, and collect value. This just means you have to pay more in the long run. 5% off shares in your IPO bucket, 1% off shares in your regular SOI bucket. The smart money is selling IPOs off, and if you believe in that player, and want to hold on to him, buy them back into your regular SOI bucket. Let the sit there and split.
Derrick Rose is our next contestant on the IPO is Right. Derrrrrickkk Rosseeeeeee, COME ON DOWWWNNNNNN!
