Week 3 of “Beat the Bacon” is set to begin. This has been, hands down, the most popular game played so far in the OneSeason Universe. Last week we had over 30 people playing to get their hands on the cash! Don’t miss this VERY easy game to play. You have until Monday Night to get your picks in. Week #3 - More Money Week

At the start of contest period, you will select 1 MLB SOI that you have in your sportsfolio. You will then be given OSN Money to use based on your Fan Mogul Rankings. You will then take that money and make bets throughout the contest using a pre-set table of bets.

Fan Mogul Ranks & $$ that it gets you:

#1 on the Fan Mogul gets you $100
#2 gets you $99
#3 gets you $98
#4 gets you $97
.
.
#99 gets you $2
#100 gets you $1

Each contest will start on a Sunday, that will give Dancenham an entire Saturday to go through the Fan Moguls to verify how much OSN Money you start with.

What Can I Bet On?

Everyone will use this Table of Bets:

15. Pitcher gives up 3 or less Earned Runs in the game: 6:1

You need to have your player picked by Monday Night 11:59:59PM EST. (two extra days to get your entry in)

I will hand out the OSN Money during closing hours so you can begin placing bets on Sunday.

Legends CAN be used. We have a Baseball SIM with MNTL and BABE. We place them in the NYY lineup and have them play who the yanks are playn in real life

You can only select 1 SOI to use.

The bet of course is based around your SOIs performance

The one with the most OSN Money at the end of the Week (6/13/09) wins $75 cold cash that will be sent via PayPal. If you do not have paypal, I guess I will mail you the check.

OneSeason Nation member (and official Legal Counsel) Philadude has created another 3rd party game for OneSeason based around On Field Performance! For this game you can win $125 for The Triple Crown, or the Cy Young games. Here is a description, right from Philadude himself!

It’s the same premise as traditional rotisserie baseball, except that rather than each participant drafting their own team with different players, participants are allowed to use the same players, but it’s ownership percentage that separates them.  Standings are based on a combined point ranking in the three stat categories, which is in turn based on total stats of the MLB player, adjusted by ownership percentages.  In a nutshell…the better stats your three players have and the more shares you own of each player when they put up those stats, the better you do.

Please keep in mind making your own IPO Alert, and/or desktop application IPO Alerts will always be faster than a text alert. Also keep in mind, when these folks text you, it is simply an email to your phone. The speed of the text has a lot to do with things that the people providing this service to you can’t control. (i.e. the speed of your phone carrier’s network.) Remember! The fastest IPO Alert is your own homemade one, or a free desktop alert you can download from multiple places!

Premium users have faster alerts on the desktop tool as well.

• Make your own IPO Alert- Sponsored by OSN and Chivalri. Lightning fast. It will text you. And 100% Free. You make it yourself very easily. Instructions on how are in the forums, just follow the link, and Chivalri has made instructional videos on how to do it yourself! Many of the above sites use this method for building their IPO Alerts. Here is how you make it yourself! One Season Tools was scheduled to go to a subscription service of $5.95 a month on May 1st for it’s tools and games. Due to unforseen errors, the service shall remain free for one more week. What does this mean for you? It means you may still try all of our services free for one more week including the alert system, player tracker and One Season Tools Challenge.
Beginning at the end of the market on Friday May 8th, all login and password information will be deleted from the system and must be reset. You will be required to resubmit your login and paymet information.

Their goal is not to make you money. Their goal is not to raise the value of your sportfolio. Nowhere, anywhere on OneSeason does it say anything, anywhere about investments. The site was created for the fun and entertainment of Sports Fans, and NOT for investment purposes. The Yahoo! Factor has a lot of people sitting around waiting for another boom again that isn’t going to happen. And now some folks are expecting OneSeason to deliver that boom again. If you are on OneSeason for only 1 reason, and that’s MONEY. You should leave. Now. The site isn’t for you, wasn’t created for you, and won’t be changing to cater to you any time soon. OneSeason will grow the site to the numbers they anticipate at a very slow rate, ensuring there isn’t another crippling boom again.
