OneSeason Nation member (and official Legal Counsel) Philadude has created another 3rd party game for OneSeason based around On Field Performance! For this game you can win $125 for The Triple Crown, or the Cy Young games. Here is a description, right from Philadude himself!
THIS GAME STARTS MONDAY! Get Entered for your chance to win $125!
It’s the same premise as traditional rotisserie baseball, except that rather than each participant drafting their own team with different players, participants are allowed to use the same players, but it’s ownership percentage that separates them. Standings are based on a combined point ranking in the three stat categories, which is in turn based on total stats of the MLB player, adjusted by ownership percentages. In a nutshell…the better stats your three players have and the more shares you own of each player when they put up those stats, the better you do.
Here is an article submitted to OSN by Lurker ‘B.K.’ that he sent to OSN and requested be posted on the front page. Thanks for the article B.K.! You should post in the forums too! If you have an article you’d like posted. Send it to bullpup@oneseasonnation.com
Don’t follow the naysayers into the fireselling-If you’re smart!
There are people out there would have have you believe that the skies are grey, and trouble looms on the horizon for OneSeason. Some of them are promoting the crash, and pleading the end, because they are trying to buy up shares as fast as they can. They other people are a pretty funny bunch. They are the people who expect OneSeason to save them from their SHITTY purchases. If you listen to Oneseason Radio, you’ve heard for weeks who these terrible purchases are. (BMAR, DMAC, TMAC, etc) And these guys who have made shitty decisions are now trying to cry foul and blame OneSeason and try to have someone else take responsibility for their own trading actions. Hey, Smart Guys. If you lose your money, someone else made money. Congrats on playing OneSeason poorly. Maybe you should have paid more attention to the community, and who people were hot or not on, and traded accordingly. The Brett was pretty smart getting out of GTZY months back, and was laughed at when he did it for $7. Now Gretzky is selling for $2.00. Who’s fault is that? Are you mad at OneSeason, are you mad at Brett? Point the finger at yourself. You are just mad because people beat you to the punch!
boo hoo someone just profited off of me
Some of these people, who have made LAUGHABLE choices on who to own in their sportfolio, now want to point the finger at OneSeason, and blame OneSeason for their sportfolio. The FACTS are, if YOU lose money in OneSeason, someone else MADE money. Plain and simple. Don’t buy into the hype of the sky is falling. We’ve heard some great interviews from Mike Sroka and D.J. on One Season Nation regarding the future of the site. We know there is more fun stuff coming, and they are very excited. There are dozens of sites popping up all around us based on games, and other things to do with regards to OneSeason. Don’t buy into the gloom and doom. Please don’t follow the people who are just pissed of at their SHITTY decisions and trying to piss everyone off, and blame OneSeason, and call for OneSeason to fix things. Hey Dudes, YOU bought your shares, and OTHER PEOPLE are selling them for less than you paid for them. Suck it up, and stop your WHINING. I have bought myself nice positions in a few different guys, and haven’t been affected at all buy the crashing of the early issued players. All of these early issues are coming back down to earth and getting inline with the rest of these newer issued players. Stop your whining. Stop complaining. Stop blaming someone else for your decisions. Man up and do something about it. A lot of guys in the “Nation” forums complained about losses before, but by staying in tune with what is going on, a lot of them report being in the positive now. OneSeason is strong, and come football season, you will all be very happy that you found OneSeason when you did.
Yao Ming once again, as predicted by OSN, reverse split this evening, leaving 7853 outstanding in the market. With Yao’s price still being around the dollar range ($1.22 at the time of this writing), ANOTHER reverse split is NOT out of the question. At $0.75 with 7853 shares outstanding puts Yao’s Market Cap at just under $6k. Who else is under 6k? Kevin Garnett, Kevin Durant, Tim Duncan, Amare Stoudemire, Paul Pierce, and Dirk Nowitzki. Yao Ming should fit in among those players nicely, and should end up in that range in the long run.
Since October of 2008, OneSeason’s first 3rd party site, the OneSeason Nation, has been striving to bring you fun things to do and talk about. All for free. We started with just forums, and since have added everything that the community has asked for! TV, Radio, articles, games, contests, prizes, T-Shirts, and much more. As many of you know, we also added a video game arcade where people have been duking it out for the high scores, and competing for the champion of the Arcade trophy. The battle has been raging between Dumbchump, Acancellie, and Sdog for tops in the arcade. Recently, we have added TONS of new games to the arcade for you to play, when you’re looking for something to do. Tetris, Space Invaders, Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Mega Man, Super Mario Brothers, Solitare, Majong, and TONS of others are available for you to play. ABSOLUTELY FREE! Have fun! Here is the direct link right to the Arcade! http://oneseasonnation.com/forum/arcade.php?
Josh Hamilton Shows his support for the"OneSeason" concept. (You can't see but he's also wearing skates and baggy shorts in this photo)
The comeback, feelgood story of recent times in MLB is set to be released into the trading community on Friday. The tattooed wonder kid Josh Hamiltion was IPO’d Thursday evening at approximately 5:22PM PST. If you haven’t read the story on this guy. I highly recommend it. His market cap will be EXTREMELY low. Possibly one of the lowest we’ve seen in awhile. He will be a good SOI for someone to pounce on, and buy a huge stake in, for a cheap price. If Hamilton can put together a string of years like he did last year, he’ll belong up there w/ the names Wright, AROD, and Pujols.
Last Night’s episode was an amazing show for the guys who head up the OSN radio division. Jewcer and OneFour had the best ever episode of “Jewced Up” radio! OneSeason co-founders Mike Sroka and DJ Burdick were on the show, and answered all of the questions, talked to some callers, told us about a cool new commerical idea that involved the communty, and everyone learned a lot of cool stuff and had a lot of fun! This was DJ’s first appearance speaking live with the communtiy (other than his debut on OSNTV, and occasional posts to the OSN blog). We had some great callers, some great discussion around OneSeason. We learned of the first OneSeason community game where you can win CASH based on your SOIs on field performance! We had a hot college chick call in. And a lot more fun stuff. If you missed it, check out the replay!
Yao Ming finally reversed split tonight, removing 16,000 shares off the market. This is actually good for the Yao Cartel, and they just don’t know it yet. Now their shares are worth twice what they were yesterday, and there are fewer shares available on the market. OSN firmly believes that Yao needs to reverse split one more time, to put him in line with all the other SOIs in the market. Great news!
Tonight is a very special edition of OSN’s “Jewced Up” Radio. The guys will have OneSeason co-founders Mike Sroka AND DJ Burdick on the air to talk about OneSeason. OneSeason Radio hosts Jewcer2k5 and SurfingOneFour will be joined by co-hosts and callers for this special episode tonight. Don’t miss it! Here is the official announcement straight from the mouths of the OSN Radio hosts themselves.
Over the past few weeks I have spent many a night crying myself to sleep on my huge pillow feeling neglected.
But tonight the Jewcer is back hosting the show with myself (surfing)OneFour
So tune in tonight for our Greatest Duo Edition of Jewced Up Radio
Tonight on our our Greatest Duo Edition of Jewced Up Radio.
Lets talk about the happenings at Oneseason and the OneSeason Nation
- Live interview with Mike and DJ (another great duo)
We’ve all heard interviews with Mike where the questions he was asked they knew he could not answer.
So don’t waste his time, DJ’s time, and most importantly my time asking questions you know he cant answer.
Anyone in the know understands that Mike and DJ cannot answer certain questions.
So use the grey matter between your ears and ask questions that they can actually respond to.
- Dont ask about:
Potential future features (they can’t tell us plus why ruin the surprise)
Number of users or money on the site (really???, How about you tell me about your finances)
Future marketing strategies (you know they can’t tell us this info)
Use your brains
Don’t ask them 300 questions about hockey or Tiger Woods.
- Put away your crystal balls and lets talk about what happening in the current, the present, in the NOW!!!
Lets give our boys some feedback about the current system.
Ask about features that need improvement and what might help
Talk about features that you don’t think are needed at all
Pretty much we are here to help them create this amazing website with us.
And of course someone please call in and bitch about ghost orders so I can introduce you to a dial tone.
- Remember Mike and DJ are GUESTS on OUR show
They are donating their time to come on here to do our Radio show.
They wouldn’t be doing us this favor if they did not respect us.
So please treat them with respect, like guests should be treated, they are VIP on OUR show.
This should be really cool and alot of fun having them on tonight.
If you don’t treat them with respect you can STFU and get used to a dial tone cause Ima hang up on you.
I’m not messing around you are not coming on Jewced Up Radio to shit on my guests.
- Can we get a nOObie on the line (last week Nysanity blew it up)
Tell Mike and DJ your first impression of oneseason and why you joined?
What do you think this place all about? Did you learn that from oneseason.com?
- The IPO list (cause everyone loves IPOs)
Who’s been moving up the list?
Best Buy
Whats a radio show without talking about best buy?
- NBA Playoffs
Can the self proclaimed “Superman” take down the self proclaimed “Chosen One?”
Can Kobe get out of the REAL Supermans (Shaq) shadow or will Denver ruin his chances?
- NBA Draft and Draft Lottery Results
Who’s the best pick for your favorite team?
Who’s going to win Rookie Of the Year?
Who’s IPO/SOI are you looking forward to and why?
- Michael Vick (out from behind bars and back on the field?
What team do you think he’ll end up with?
What position do you think he’ll play?
Any Pitbull owners wanna chime in? (hint, hint)
What about his IPO/SOI? How will it fair? (Currently #41)
- Hockey
Its still playoff time (maybe someone knows and wants to talk about this)
You never know whats gonna happen on Jewced Up Radio
Yao Ming hard at work, preventing his own Reverse Split
We’ve been trying for months to figure out the purpose of THROWING money away, trying to keep the giant turd that is Yao Ming afloat on OneSeason. We assumed it was a cartel selling those big blocks of 200 shares back and forth between each other on Firday, and again saving Yao’s punk ass from reverse splitting again last night. But in an OSN Exclusive photo, we now have 100% proof of what’s going on.
Well the SECOND most desired reverse split happened last night, when Steve Nash closed under 75 cents, and also met the weighted average formula that OneSeason uses to calculate Reverse Splits. about 3300 shares of Steve Nash will be removed from OneSeason, and his price will double. In other news, the Yao Cartel continues to throw away money trying to keep that GIANT TURD Yao Ming afloat, and keeping him from reverse splitting. OneSeason fans, one of 2 things we at OSN will GUARANTEE you. Either Yao Ming WILL reverse split in the near future, or there will be accounts that are suspended by OneSeason for market manipulation due to trading shares back and forth between the same accounts. Just like happened w/ TMAC. As seen on that last episode of OSNTV, Yao Ming is currently a “worst buy” because once he reverse splits once, it will definitely happen again as the market brings Yao back down to where he belongs amongst the other NBA players.
The Jewcer will be working as the proud manager of Friendlys tonight
(which is currently out of vanilla ice cream (sounds like the managers fault to me))
So you will get another installment of myself surfingOneFour and a surprise guest host…
Will it be OneSeasonNations Moderator Timmy 304? Will Bullpup make a guest host appearance?
Could it be Rylin34, Hunter82, Quizrox? Maybe a Dancenham or a cartel of one?
Will Timmy304’s wife co-host tonights show?!?!
You never know whats gonna happen…
So tune in tonight for another edition of Surfed Up (Jewced Up) Radio
Tonight on our who the hell is gonna host with me edition of Surfed Up Radio.
Lets talk about the happenings at Oneseason and the OneSeason Nation
- The IPO of Barry Sanders
$6K market cap…??? This is who you vote up as #1
- The reset IPO list and who you are excited about.
I think it looks much nicer. I’m actually excited to buy in on some of these IPOs
- Thoughts about next weeks interview with DJ and Mike
What current features do you feel need improvement?
- Can we get a nOObie on the line (I think I have one calling in)
What are do you think about oneseason?
What is this place all about?
- NBA Playoffs
Is Lebron James really that good?
Paul Pierce and Co. the kryptonite for “Superman” Dwight Howard?
Can Kobe ever get out of the REAL Supermans (Shaq) shadow and win a championship?
Or does Houston have them beat?
Denver? Billups is a winner!
You never know whats gonna happen on Jewced Up Radio

Barry Sanders had his first full day of trading, and as predicted by OSN analysts, he did NOT perform well. He is currently the 9th lowest SOI available on the market, and some folks are freaking out about it. You shouldn’t be surprised. OneSeason is a popularity contest. It’s a pop culture popularity contest. Barry Sanders is nowhere on the pop culture radar. Michael Jordan is. Here is OSNTV anchor “TheBrett” and his comments on this situation.
The reason Legends are not worth where they historically would be is cultural relevance.
Same reason you don’t see Joe Montana selling Chunky Soup right now.
The world is a pop culture radar and the newest hottest thing will always be in demand.
Barry Sanders may have been 100 times the player Matt Forte could ever possibly be, but I guarantee you Matt Forte runs for more yards this season.
The only legend who should hold value at this stage is Jordan as he is still a central pop culture icon. We are buying and selling shares which derive value from other people’s desire to own.
What are your thoughts on this? Visit the forums or comment here. This will be discussed LIVE tonight on OSN Radio as well.
