The Transition Of Sports- 3 Strategies You Can Use To Make $$$$

Wednesday, May 27th, 2009

OSN Member Witt4three contacted us wanting to share some strategies with the trading community. Not only are we giving him the forum to share…We are thrilled to announce Witt now has his own page at OSN! Witt will be a regular contributor and writing helpful articles for folks who need some guidance or different perspective on the world of OneSeason. Here is Witt’s first submission. His articles will be available on the front page here, then archived at www.OneSeasonNation.com/category/Witt4three. Enjoy!

NBA and NHL are coming to an end, MLB is up and running, NFL camps are in progress, and another year of sports greatness is upon us. For Oneseason, when the MLB season comes to an end, they will have completed their one year anniversary! Here is a preview of the strategies you can use to profit and have a lot of fun during the transition of sports:

Strategy #1: Buy MLB Stocks- MLB is possibly one of the most dragged out sports ever, but entertaining at the same time. When NBA and NHL end, people want action, and the only way they are going to get that is by buying MLB SOIs. New fantasy games are out and more are to come. Owning a large % of a SOI with a very low amount of outstanding shares is always fun. You can dominate the fantasy games with this player, and can brag to everyone that you own __% of ________.
Best MLB buys: GRNK- (when he comes out) only 400-600 shares and less than 1 ERA in 9 games this season. In Dancenham’s new game, you can almost gurantee that he will win, go 7+ innings, walk 2 or less batters, and give up less than 3 ER.
ICHI- This guy always seems to get a hit. Very valuable in fantasy games, and at 4k MV, he is very undervalued.
Anyone under 3k- Plain and simple, these guys can’t stay at this level for long and when the market starts to pick up, you will make a substantial % gain.
Bottom line: If you like having action and playing fantasy games with your SOIs, this is the strategy for you!

Strategy #2 (What I’m Doing)- Buy a large % of NFL SOIs with a promising future and legends- Baseball is already going and the next sport up will be NFL. Everyone is expecting big advertising around NFL season, which will bring many more users to the site which means more money in the market. They are going to want legends from their day (Sanders, Montana, Payton) just so they can say that they own their favorite player of all-time. If a 3rd-party site can figure out a way to incorporate NFL legends into fantasy games, these SOIs will boom even more. New users are also going to want fantasy studs. Brady, Peterson, and the Mannings are obvious, but you want low shares outstanding, so you look at Ryan, Forte, and Chris Johnson. You can own a pretty large % of these guys at a relatively low price. When the site grows, so will these players.
Bottom line: If you think that the site will really grow around football season, and want to beat the transitioners, this is the strategy for you (and me)!

Strategy #3- Buy NBA SOIs after everyone has transitioned- Lebron and the Cavs look like they are done in the playoffs, and you have really seen it in his value. Lebron had about an 80k market cap a month ago, NOW 40k. 50% dropoff! People are definitely selling him and transitioning into baseball. When the playoffs end, you will see even more people undercut him. Don’t be surprised if he gets to 30k within the next month or two. At these low values, most basketball SOIs are a buy, but can you wait 6 months until these guys play again??? For most people, no, but for the patient, yes, and they will be the ones who make a lot of money off of it. OS hopes to be almost in full swing by then, which means all types of advertising and new users! Also, there hasn’t even been a fantasy game created for basketball yet, and when there is, these SOIs will be even more valuable. All SOIs will soar and if you can get these cheap basketball SOIs during this crash or within the next month or two, you will be very very happy!
Bottom line: If you are patient enough to load up on basketball SOIs in the middle of June, this is the buying strategy for you!

Have fun with OS, and if you are here to make some $$$ while having fun, one of these strategies will probably accomplish your goals.

www.oneseasonnation.com/radio

Over the past few weeks I have spent many a night crying myself to sleep on my huge pillow feeling neglected.
But tonight the Jewcer is back hosting the show with myself (surfing)OneFour
So tune in tonight for our Greatest Duo Edition of Jewced Up Radio

Tonight on our our Greatest Duo Edition of Jewced Up Radio.
Lets talk about the happenings at Oneseason and the OneSeason Nation

- Live interview with Mike and DJ (another great duo)
We’ve all heard interviews with Mike where the questions he was asked they knew he could not answer.
So don’t waste his time, DJ’s time, and most importantly my time asking questions you know he cant answer.
Anyone in the know understands that Mike and DJ cannot answer certain questions.
So use the grey matter between your ears and ask questions that they can actually respond to.

- Dont ask about:
Potential future features (they can’t tell us plus why ruin the surprise)
Number of users or money on the site (really???, How about you tell me about your finances)
Future marketing strategies (you know they can’t tell us this info)
Use your brains
Don’t ask them 300 questions about hockey or Tiger Woods.

- Put away your crystal balls and lets talk about what happening in the current, the present, in the NOW!!!

Lets give our boys some feedback about the current system.
Ask about features that need improvement and what might help
Talk about features that you don’t think are needed at all
Pretty much we are here to help them create this amazing website with us.
And of course someone please call in and bitch about ghost orders so I can introduce you to a dial tone.

- Remember Mike and DJ are GUESTS on OUR show
They are donating their time to come on here to do our Radio show.
They wouldn’t be doing us this favor if they did not respect us.
So please treat them with respect, like guests should be treated, they are VIP on OUR show.
This should be really cool and alot of fun having them on tonight.
If you don’t treat them with respect you can STFU and get used to a dial tone cause Ima hang up on you.
I’m not messing around you are not coming on Jewced Up Radio to shit on my guests.

- Can we get a nOObie on the line (last week Nysanity blew it up)
Tell Mike and DJ your first impression of oneseason and why you joined?
What do you think this place all about? Did you learn that from oneseason.com?

- The IPO list (cause everyone loves IPOs)
Who’s been moving up the list?

Best Buy
Whats a radio show without talking about best buy?

- NBA Playoffs
Can the self proclaimed “Superman” take down the self proclaimed “Chosen One?”
Can Kobe get out of the REAL Supermans (Shaq) shadow or will Denver ruin his chances?

- NBA Draft and Draft Lottery Results
Who’s the best pick for your favorite team?
Who’s going to win Rookie Of the Year?
Who’s IPO/SOI are you looking forward to and why?

- Michael Vick (out from behind bars and back on the field?
What team do you think he’ll end up with?
What position do you think he’ll play?
Any Pitbull owners wanna chime in? (hint, hint)
What about his IPO/SOI? How will it fair? (Currently #41)

- Hockey
Its still playoff time (maybe someone knows and wants to talk about this)

You never know whats gonna happen on Jewced Up Radio

Deron’s IPO Release Has a Small Bug

Monday, March 30th, 2009

Deron Williams was released today, and this time the question was loaded, but the answer wasn’t coded the right way. 10.8 was the correct answer to the question, yet the site wouldn’t accept it, and would accept odd ball answers. It was fixed quickly, and OneSeason started accepting the IPO Requests. Great Job to OneSeason for finding the bug, and fixing it quickly. We are getting closer an closer to this new IPO request feature being solid, and moving on to the next phases of development! Watch for more redesigns and the Ghostbusters to be called on the Ghost Orders in the coming months.

Personally, I’m glad we are building the site an testing stuff like this now, and not when there are 100,000 users on the site!

Update! OSN Contributor and OSN-TV digital short producer Tomarken has info straight from OneSeason on today’s issue.
“There was a slight and equal delay for all users as to the acceptance of the correct answer.

This will not happen again, and everyone was affected equally by this slight delay.

After you have already entered the correct answer (10.8 in this scenario) you may enter anything to get to the request page. Therefore, entering zero worked on the following attempt.

Thank you for coming on. I hope you enjoy the site.

Best Regards,
The OneSeason Team!”
