The NY Giants say they will welcome Plaxico back with open arms if he can straighten out his legal problems. The guy is an unbelievable talent, but he is clearly a distraction and a cancer. His off the field stunts had negative impacts on his teammates because of the media, and they weren’t able to go as deep into the playoffs as they should have.

TJ Won't play, but his daughters will try out for DB positons in Seattle.

TJ Houshmandzadeh (sp? don’t care?) signs a 5 year deal with the Seattle Seahawks. Sources told ESPN’s Michael Smith the deal was worth more than $40 million for five years, with more than $15 million guaranteed. I as a rabid Seattle fan, I don’t like the deal, and believe they are overpaying. TJ’s best years are behind him, and Seattle has a patten for doing stuff like this. Paying guys for things they’ve done in the PAST. Housh is 31 years old, and this contract takes him to his 36th birthday. This man is past his prime. He will be an average WR at best.

It is being reported today that Brett Favre will retire. Favre had instructed his agent, James “Bus” Cook, to inform the Jets on Wednesday that he is retiring. Two team sources told ESPN senior NFL analyst Chris Mortensen that the call had been made. Check out the full article here.
